Fantastico

  • Fantastico is a library of commercial scripts to help install web applications on your sites. The Fantastico portal tracks installed applications to help you keep everything updated to the latest stable versions. You can even search for new applications. Fantastico includes scripts to install a blogs, forums, photo and video galleries and CMS systems on your site.You can access the Fantastico library conveniently from within your cPanel home page. Just go to the “Software and Services” section of cPanel, and click the Fantastico De Luxe icon.

Apache

  • The Apache HTTP Server, commonly referred to simply as Apache is a web server notable for playing a key role in the initial growth of the World Wide Web. Apache rivals other Unix-based web servers in terms of functionality and performance. The majority of all web servers using Apache are Linux web servers. Apache supports a variety of features, many implemented as compiled modules which extend the core functionality. These can range from server-side programming language support to authentication schemes.


    MySQL

    • Blue Earth clients have access to MySQL, a relational database management system. It runs as a server, providing multi-user access to a number of databases. The MySQL wizard will walk you through database creation, from account management to access levels. MySQL is used by many popular sites, including Facebook, Google, Nokia, and Flickr, for its data storage and logging of user data.Create databases through the MySQL wizard, located in the “Databases” section of the cPanel administration controls. Manage existing databases or logins by clicking the MySQL icon in the “Databases” section of cPanel.

    PHP

    • PHP is a scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML. It is popular and useful for an array of programming needs. Generally, it runs on a web server, taking PHP code as its input and creating web pages as output.

    Ruby on Rails

    • Ruby on Rails is a framework for building web applications using the Ruby programming language. It is highly suitable for short, client-driven projects. With the RoR service, you can create applications, create or manage application rewrites, and even load applications on server reboot. Ruby Gems, the partner service, offers collections of functions that allow you to perform tasks in Ruby.Both Ruby Gems and Ruby on Rails are easily accessible from your cPanel home page under “Software / Services.” Click the corresponding icon to access either service.
