Hosting
What is hosting?
Web hosting is generally used to publish websites on the internet. If you build a website, you need to upload it to a web hosting service, so that other people online can see it.
Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center.
Our website hosting gives you space on a server connected to the internet. When you put files in this area, people can access them from the internet – so your website can be seen across the world.
We offer hosting packages which cater for all sorts of sites. Our servers are connected 24/7, and we monitor them round-the-clock, so the sites we host stay online day and night.
Blue Earth’s servers are located in a state-of-the-art facility in Stratford, London. Operated by Coreix, the premises comprises a raised floor datacentre with completely protected power source, temperature control, ventilation, fire suppression and network connectivity. Backing up the primary power source are three diesel generators with 48-hour on-site fuel storage, while there is also round-the-clock manned security.
In 2007 Coreix became the first UK-based managed hosting services company to voluntarily offset its CO2 emissions.
